Built On Connection

Coastal Islands Denture Care was founded from a simple belief: denture care should be accessible, compassionate, and comfortable. After working in a traditional clinic setting, Arica saw firsthand how many patients felt anxious or overwhelmed in unfamiliar clinical environments. This inspired her to take denture care beyond the clinic and into the heart of the community. By offering mobile services in places where people already feel safe, like local health centers we are helping to remove barriers such as transportation, mobility issues, and financial limitations. Coastal Islands Denture Care is committed to meeting people where they are, and ensuring everyone has access to quality and compassionate denture care.

The Faces Behind Your Care

A small team with a big passion for creating comfortable, personal, and accessible denture care in every community we visit.

Arica Windsor, RD
Denturist/Owner

Arica has over five years of experience in the dental field helping create confident smiles. She began her career as a dental technician’s assistant, where she gained valuable hands on experience creating dentures. This is where she discovered she has a passion for the impact denture care can have on people’s lives. Inspired by this passion, she pursued further education to serve patients in a more meaningful way, graduating from CDI College in 2024 with her Denturist Diploma.

After graduation, Arica worked in a traditional clinic setting, caring for patients while learning from her experienced mentors.

With a vision of making denture care more accessible and personal, Arica founded Coastal Islands Denture Care, a fully mobile practice focused on bringing denture services directly to the communities that need them most. What started as an idea quickly grew into a meaningful way to connect with patients, especially those living in rural and remote communities across BC and the Yukon where access to care is often limited.

Arica is known for her down-to-earth, compassionate approach and the genuine connections she builds with each of her patients. She believes everyone deserves to feel comfortable, heard, and confident in their care, and she takes great pride in creating a welcoming experience for every person she works with.

Licensed in both British Columbia and the Yukon, Arica is proud to support a wide range of communities and deeply values the relationships she’s built along the way.

When she’s not working, Arica is usually chasing her next adventure or perfect cup of coffee. She loves making coffee at home and is always on the hunt for new beans to try. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys playing ice hockey, golfing, rock climbing, hiking, camping, and occasionally surfing whenever she finds the time. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends.

Arica is definitely not known for being overly serious . She loves a good joke, a funny story, and making people feel comfortable the moment they meet her. One of her favourite memories is hiking the entire Juan de Fuca Trail in one day with her best friend, slightly unprepared, simply because her sister said they couldn’t do it. Safe to say, proving people wrong can be pretty motivating.

She believes some of the best connections are built through conversation, laughter, and shared stories, and she hopes every patient feels like they already know her before they even sit down for their appointment.

We respectfully acknowledge that the work we do takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of many Indigenous Peoples across British Columbia and the Yukon.

Our home base is in Nanaimo, which lies on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. We are deeply grateful to live and work on this land, and to serve communities throughout Vancouver Island, Northern BC, and the Yukon. As we travel to provide care, we recognize that each region we visit has its own unique Indigenous history, language, culture, and Nation. We also recognize and honor the many Yukon First Nations whose stewardship, knowledge, and connection to the land continue to shape the North.

We honor the ongoing presence, resilience, and stewardship of Indigenous Peoples, whose connection to these lands has endured for generations.

As a healthcare provider, we are committed to building relationships grounded in respect, trust, and cultural understanding. We recognize the barriers many Indigenous individuals and communities continue to face in accessing healthcare, and we strive to offer care that is not only accessible, but also rooted in compassion, humility, and inclusivity.

We thank the Indigenous Peoples of these lands for the opportunity to live, work, and provide care on their territories. It is a privilege we do not take for granted.
