A NEW CHAPTER
no longer accepting patients

After an incredible year of providing mobile denture care throughout Vancouver Island, I have made the difficult but exciting decision to close my patient intake and begin a new chapter working in the Yukon.

Coastal Islands Denture Care was built on the simple belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, quality denture care, regardless of where they live. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of bringing denture care directly to patients and communities across Vancouver Island, including many people who shared that they may not have gotten care if it had not been brought closer to them.

Those experiences have shaped the way I see denture care and have made me even more passionate about improving access to care in communities that face barriers.

I am now incredibly excited to bring that same passion to the Yukon. Working in the Yukon will give me the opportunity to be part of improving access to denture care in a region where distance, limited services, and other barriers can make accessing care extremely challenging. I look forward to getting to know the communities here, building relationships, and helping make quality denture care more accessible to those who need it.

The experiences and relationships I’ve built on Vancouver Island have shaped the way I approach denture care, and I’m excited to carry that with me into my work in the Yukon. I am so grateful to every patient who trusted me with their care, and to the health-care teams, coordinators, families, and communities who welcomed me, supported my mobile practice, and helped make the past year possible.

Vancouver Island will always be an important part of my journey. The lessons, relationships, and experiences I gained there are something I will carry with me as I continue this work in the Yukon.

Thank you, Vancouver Island, for an incredible first chapter. I am so excited to see where this next one takes me.

Please note: My business phone number will no longer be monitored. Patients I have seen within the past year can still reach me at admin@aricawindsordenturist.com if they require an adjustment or have questions or concerns regarding their denture care.

Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are made when all natural teeth are missing in the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Whether you’ve lost teeth due to age, injury, or health conditions, full dentures can help bring back comfort, function, and a natural-looking appearance. With the right fit, complete dentures can support your facial muscles and improve your overall quality of life.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are a great solution if you're missing one or more teeth but still have some natural teeth remaining. They help fill the gaps in your smile, making it easier to eat, speak, and feel confident. Partial dentures also help prevent your remaining teeth from shifting out of place, which can affect your bite over time. They’re custom-made to fit comfortably and blend in with your natural teeth.

Reline/Rebases

Our mouths naturally change over time, which can affect how your dentures fit. To keep them feeling comfortable and reduce sore spots, a reline/rebase, also known as a refit  is recommended every two years. It’s a simple adjustment that helps you continue eating comfortably and smiling with confidence.

Repairs

If your dentures break or you’ve had a tooth pulled, repairs can fix the damage or add new teeth to your partial so you can get back to smiling comfortably. Repairs are dependent on the condition of your dentures and may not always be an option. This will be determined in person.

Adjustments

As your mouth changes or you’re getting used to new dentures, small adjustments can make a big difference. They help prevent sore spots and keep your dentures feeling comfortable and secure.
