Macoah

The Maa-nulth First Nations community of Macoah (Toquaht Nation) is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, along Barkley Sound near Ucluelet. Surrounded by ocean, inlets, and old-growth forests, this coastal territory has long supported the community’s way of life. Deeply connected to their lands and waters, the Toquaht people continue to honour their traditions while fostering a strong, resilient, and self-sustaining community.

 

Ditidaht

The Ditidaht Nation is a Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation located on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, centered around Nitinaht Lake and extending to the Pacific Ocean at Nitinaht Village. Their remote and rugged territory is rich in forests, freshwater, and coastal resources that have supported their way of life for generations. Deeply connected to these lands and waters, the Ditidaht people continue to uphold their traditions while caring for their territory and community for future generations.

 

Ehattesaht

The Ehattesaht First Nation is a Nuu-chah-nulth Nation located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, with territory around Zeballos Inlet and the community of Ehattesaht. Surrounded by remote coastal waters and forested landscapes, their lands have supported their people for generations. Deeply connected to their territory, the Ehattesaht continue to uphold their culture and traditions while fostering a strong and resilient community.

Huu-Ay-Aht

The Huu-ay-aht First Nations is a Nuu-chah-nulth Nation based on the west coast of Vancouver Island, with its primary community in Anacla near Bamfield. With a strong connection to both ocean and forest, the Nation places a high value on stewardship, self-governance, and community wellbeing. Through ongoing growth and cultural revitalization, the Huu-ay-aht continue to shape a vibrant future rooted in their traditions.

Uchucklesaht

The Uchucklesaht Tribe is a Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation located on the west coast of Vancouver Island, with territory around Barkley Sound near Port Alberni. Surrounded by rich coastal waters and forested lands, their homeland has supported their community for generations. Guided by a governance structure that honors the past while embracing the future, the Nation remains committed to growing as a strong, self-reliant, and resilient people.

Ahousaht 

The Ahousaht First Nation is a Nuu-chah-nulth Nation located on Flores Island, just off the west coast of Vancouver Island near Tofino. Surrounded by rugged coastline, rainforest, and the open ocean, the island is deeply woven into Ahousaht culture and daily life. With strong ties to their land and waters, the Ahousaht people continue to honour their traditions while nurturing a healthy, connected, and thriving community.

I am grateful to work alongside and serve several incredible First Nations Communities across Vancouver Island. Each Nation has its own unique culture, history, and connection to the land, and it is a privilege to support these communities through accessible, mobile denture care.
